Volunteer Opportunities

Love the sport? Then you already have what we need. British Powerlifting isn't just built by lifters — it's powered by the people who make things happen behind the scenes.

From spotting and scoring to helping online or at events, volunteering one hour a week can make a real difference. You don't need to be an expert or commit your life to it — just a bit of passion and a willingness to pitch in.

Think of it as giving something back to the sport that's given you so much — without the friction of a formal job application. We'll match your skills to something meaningful, keep it flexible, and make sure you feel part of a team that's shaping the future of British Powerlifting, one lift (and one volunteer) at a time.

If you are interested in taking on a position, want to discuss a job role, or would just like to fine out more, please get in touch today !

What to expect:

Once you express interest, we'll have a short, friendly chat to understand what you enjoy and how much time you can give. You'll then be connected with a small team working on projects or events that match your interests — whether that's helping with communications, social media, event logistics, or member support. Most roles are remote or flexible around competitions, and you'll be supported by experienced volunteers who'll show you the ropes.

You'll gain insight into how the sport is run, develop new skills, and join a community of like-minded people who care about making powerlifting better for everyone. It's not about filling a position — it's about being part of something bigger, one hour at a time.

Ready to get involved?

Drop us a quick message  telling us a bit about yourself and what you'd like to help with. No lengthy processes where you don't get a response, no fuss — just an easy way to make a difference. The sport's future is built by people like you — so why not start today?

Leadership & Committee Roles (Vacancies)

If you're ready to step up and play a bigger role, this is where things get interesting. These higher-commitment volunteer positions give you a real voice in how British Powerlifting is run — shaping the direction of the sport, driving innovation, and making decisions that influence lifters across the country. They're not "jobs" in the corporate sense; they're opportunities to lead, to use your expertise in a meaningful way, and to be part of the sport's story at a national level.

Think of it less as volunteering and more as stewardship — a chance to leave your mark on something that matters. You'll be surrounded by people who care deeply about powerlifting and who value initiative, creativity, and collaboration. If you've ever thought, "I could help make this better," here's your chance to actually do it.
