The International Powerlifting Federation (IPF) supports initiatives like the IFMA’s mission to empower athletes with disabilities. Since 1989, the IPF has fostered inclusivity through partnerships with organisations like the IPC and Special Olympics, ensuring equitable opportunities for adaptive athletes in competition and beyond.
The GB Powerlifting Federation Ltd, trading as British Powerlifting, is a fully democratic organisation in accordance with the Companies Act and Sport England/UK Sport Guidelines.
British Powerlifting is now the Sports Councils’ recognised National Governing Body (NGB) for UK Powerlifting. We are by far the largest powerlifting organisation in the UK and the only one to have a fully WADA compliant Anti-Doping Programme.
