MESSAGE FROM THE IPF PRESIDENT

Dear Friends,

Dear IPF Member Federations,

It is my pleasure to inform you the IPF will take part in the United Through Sports (UTS) Virtual Youth Sports Festival!

More than 80 international sports organizations (non-Olympic and Olympic) shall unite athletes, on a digital platform, for the festival that shall fall under patronage of the International Olympic Committee (IOC), the International Paralympic committee (IPC), Special Olympics International (SOI), SportAccord, the Global Association for International Sports Federations (GAISF), and finally the Alliance of International Members of Sport. (AIMS).

The event shall be opened by Dr. Tomas Bach, President, of the International Olympic Committee.

I'm pleased to inform you the IPF has selected for 18 athletes (9 Men/9 Women) to take part in the MAX FIT finals competition for this festival. I want to take this opportunity to wish our athletes the very best of success and thank them for all of their hard work and preparation for this event the past couple of months.

Also, I want to personally thank Jennifer Thompson (USA), Robert Keller (USA) and Alex Alvarado (PUR) for their tireless work in preparing our athletes for the Festival as well as all of the IPF Member Federations for supporting this event.

Lastly, I ask that you share this message on your Social Media pages to advertise the success of our athletes and this program.

British Powerlifting is the only UK powerlifting organisation that has a fully WADA compliant anti-doping programme, which is independently administered by the IPF. All of our anti-doping testing is carried out at our own expense. Elite GB lifters are selected by the IPF for inclusion in the Registered Testing Pool (RT) along with 144 lifters in the Testing Pool and National Testing Pool.
