Annual General Meeting

This has been scheduled as late as our rules allow to give more time for the COVID-19 situation to improve. It will be held Sunday 23rd May 2021 at Moulton College. However, if there is a limitation on the numbers allowed to physically attend there will have to be a priority list established.

Deputy Chairman

We are pleased to announce that Ian Finch has been appointed as Deputy Chairman. Ian has considerable powerlifting experience, is an active lifter and has been a non-executive officer since the inception of the GBPF. We hope you will give Ian your full support in this important role.

Membership Survey

There have had been a mere 131 responses so far, which is not very many out of a 3000+ membership. The survey is anonymous of course and the results will be used to show the commercial value of partnering or advertising with British Powerlifting, with a view to attracting more money into the sport. Here again is the link Membership Survey ,so please spend a few moments to complete it and submit.

British Championships

Planning the championship calendar for next year is clearly very difficult because of the uncertainty around pandemic restrictions. Any dates that are set are subject to change/ postponement and we will endeavour to only post entry forms for achievable championships. Hopefully, as next year progresses things will improve so it's likely that some championships will be scheduled later than normal in the year.

We now have a new range of car stickers and a club poster available on the merchandise accessories page Merchandise Accessories

Season's Greetings

British Powerlifting wishes all its members, families, friends and supporters a very Happy Festive Season. We hope there will be some semblance of normality after a very strange year. Keep Safe.

British Powerlifting is the only UK powerlifting organisation that has a fully WADA compliant anti-doping programme, which is independently administered by the IPF. All of our anti-doping testing is carried out at our own expense. Elite GB lifters are selected by the IPF for inclusion in the Registered Testing Pool (RT) along with 144 lifters in the Testing Pool and National Testing Pool. All are subject to Out of Competition Testing (OCT). Read More >
