VACANCIES FOR HEAD COACHES FOR SENIOR & JUNIOR CLASSIC TEAMS
Due to the incumbents stepping down as previously advised, British Powerlifting now invite applications from suitable qualified people for these two important roles. The key requirements for each are set our below.
HEAD COACH SENIOR TEAM
1. Has overall responsibility for the selection of international squads and teams in accordance with the International Team Selection Procedure.
2. Must have had international experience as a coach and or lifter.
3. Should be a qualified referee, preferably international.
4. Should have good people management skills.
5. May appoint coaches/assistant coaches in accordance with the Coaching Pathway, currently being developed.
6. Responsible to the CEO.
7. A contribution to travel expenses for international championships will be made.
8. It is expected that the successful candidate will hold professional strength and conditioning qualifications or equivalent.
9. Must declare any conflicts of interest as per the BP Conflict of Interest Policy.
HEAD COACH JUNIOR TEAM
1. Has responsibility for the selection of junior international squads and teams in accordance with the International Team Selection Procedure and under the guidance of the Senior Head Coach.
2. Must have had international experience as a coach and or lifter.
3. Should be a qualified referee, preferably international.
4. Should have good people management skills.
5. Responsible to the Senior Head Coach.
6. A contribution to travel expenses for international championships will be made.
7. It is expected that the successful candidate will hold professional strength and conditioning qualifications or equivalent.
8. Must declare any conflicts of interest as per the BP Conflict of Interest Policy.

British Powerlifting is the only UK powerlifting organisation that has a fully WADA compliant anti-doping programme, which is independently administered by the IPF. All of our anti-doping testing is carried out at our own expense. Elite GB lifters are selected by the IPF for inclusion in the Registered Testing Pool (RT) along with 144 lifters in the Testing Pool and National Testing Pool.
