Top up Tuesday January 2026 week 1

This week's update from British Powerlifting CEO Charlie Marillier covers key developments shaping the year ahead:

- IPF Technical Rules Consultation - Members are invited to an open forum on 28 January (7-8pm, Zoom) to share feedback on proposed IPF rule changes before BP submits its official response.
- New Partnerships Announced - British Powerlifting has formalised partnerships with the Royal Navy Powerlifting Association and Police Services UK, strengthening competition pathways, athlete development, and collaboration across armed forces, emergency services, and civilian sport.
- Coaching Education for 2026 - Assistant Coach courses continue nationwide, with the Lead Coach course nearing launch and dates to be announced soon.
- What's Coming Up - Major domestic and international competitions are just around the corner, including the British Equipped Championships, SBD Sheffield, and upcoming European championships.

A strong start to 2026, focused on collaboration, professionalism, and continued growth of the sport.
