NOMINATIONS
In accordance with S43 of the Articles of Association, nominations for the roles set out below must be received by the Board no later than 13th June 2026. The nominations must be in writing, and endorsed by two Members of British Powerlifting (a proposer, and a seconder). There must also be written indication by the nominee confirming their willingness to stand for election, and to confirm they are, or agree to become, a Member of British Powerlifting should they be appointed.

  • Chair of the Board

Members should be aware of S133 of the Articles of Association insofar as the Board is entitled to carry out vetting of all or any nominee prior to accepting a nomination.

NOTICE OF MOTION
All Notice of Motion submitted and accepted shall stand for vote ahead of the adjourned AGM.
There is no requirement for re-submission of Notice of Motion submitted for the original AGM date,
however, should Members wish to submit an amended motion, they are entitled to do so.
No additional motions are permitted to be submitted.

AGENDA & VOTING
A detailed Agenda will be published no later than 14th July 2026.
In accordance with S110 of the Articles of Association, voting will be held via an online platform open no less than 14 days prior to the AGM, and close 48 hours prior to the AGM, as per Article 110.
In response to member feedback, BP are trialling voting at the AGM itself. Your understanding during this trial will be appreciated.
The table annexed sets out the timescales for Member and Board comment, amendments to Motions, and voting.
By order of the Board of British Powerlifting dated this 26th day of May 2026.

The pre-meeting discussion has been scheduled to allow Members to discuss the motions while
voting remains open.

This is intended to create a hybrid process in which Members have an opportunity
for healthy discourse, clarification, and debate before finalising their voting decisions. However, under the
Articles as currently written, voting must close 48 hours before the AGM itself, which means any such
discussion must take place before that deadline. For that reason, the pre-meeting discussion has been
structured as a separate meeting ahead of the AGM, rather than as part of the AGM itself.

AGM Announcement 2026

Update – 3 June 2026

On 3 June 2026, we identified an error in the published AGM timeline relating to the motion submission close date. The timeline previously stated that motion submissions would close on 2 July 2026 at 10:00. This was incorrect.

In accordance with the required AGM timetable, the motion submission close date should be 26 June 2026 at 10:00, and the timeline has been updated accordingly.

We also identified that the timeline incorrectly listed the notice posted date as 27 May 2026. The AGM notice was in fact published on 26 May 2026, and this has also been corrected.

No other dates in the AGM timeline have been amended.
