Peter Fiore Memorial Trophy

The Peter Fiore Memorial Trophy will be awarded at each British Classic Championships to the best male and female lifter on Wilks points. Peter Fiore was a former senior World champions at 75kg, World record holder in the squat and more recently M4 World Champion. He was a Director of Powerlifting in the British Weightlifters' Association from 2003 to 2006 and established a strong powerlifting administration, which sowed the seeds of the Great Britain Powerlifting Federation. As President of the Commonwealth Powerlifting Federation, he had the foresight to introduce unequipped lifting in advance of the IPF's Classic championships.
