Stanislaw Gasienica-Makowski was tested by the IPF at the World Classic Bench Press Championships 16th May 2018 and his urine sample was found to contain Exogenous Testosterone (S1.1A Exogenous Anabolic Steroids), which is a banned substance under the WADA Code and IPF Anti-Doping Rules.. 

The IPF Doping Hearing Panel (DHP) has therefore imposed a period of ineligibility of four years on this athlete until 25th July 2022.  He is consequently suspended from membership of British Powerlifting and any related activities for the same period.

British Powerlifting is the only UK powerlifting organisation that has a fully WADA compliant anti-doping programme, which is independently administered by the IPF. All of our anti-doping testing is carried out at our own expense. Elite GB lifters are selected by the IPF for inclusion in the Registered Testing Pool (RT) along with 144 lifters in the Testing Pool and National Testing Pool.
