How to enter

Competitions are run at many levels within British Powerlifting.  Local (e.g. County Championships), Divisional/Regional, National, and British. 

Currently only National and British Championships require qualification , however all competitions require competitors to be current members of British Powerlifting.

British National Championships

To enter a British Championships you must be a member of British Powerlifting and have achieved the required qualifying total  in an approved championship. These include Internationals, National Championships (English, Scottish, Welsh or NI) and Divisional Championships. 

N.B. Qualifying Totals must be set after the relevant previous year's championship.

British Powerlifting is the only UK powerlifting organisation that carries out independent WADA compliant drug testing. In 2017 we conducted some 140 anti-doping tests, all at our own expense. GB lifters in World Championships are registered with the IPF for Out of Competition Testing (OCT).
